***2013 RACE SEASON INFO***

Members Please, read all the way to the bottom to make sure you get all the new info for this year.

The awards fee will be $55 this year for the first horse and $40 for a second horse due by the June 30th race! You will be required to attend and run in 5 races which will qualify you for our state show and district year end awards. This will also be a horse and rider combination. If you are planning to run more than one horse and want an award on both horses you will have to pay a second awards fee. IF you chose not to pay an awards fee for the second horse you will only get a year end award in your fastest division therefore only winning you one award. If you have any questions please let me know. We will be using a points system this year instead of an average.

**ENTRY FEE

The Open will have a low entry fee of $45 at all of our races. $35 for the jackpot and the other $10 for office/arena processing fees. We will add $100 unless we have 35 girls then we $200 added to each Open race.

The YOUTH entry fee will be $40 of which $30 will go in the jackpot and the other $10 for office/arena processing fees. IF there are more than 15 youth riders we will add $100 to there jackpot other wise there is no added money. The ROOKIE division is for horses OR riders that have NOT won more than $300 in LTE in Barrel Racing. This class is meant for new rider or new horses that are just starting out in running barrels and are NOT 1D calibur horses. If there are more than 5 entries we will add $50. This division will only count toward year end District awards and does not transfer to State qualifing.

I hope everyone understands that I am trying to keep our cost low but make money for the district to purchase nice year end awards.

**AWARDS BUY IN

We will still be offering the "Awards Buy In" of $65 for our NBHA District 15 members which is our neighboring district. This will allow each of you to run for awards in both districts. The rules will be, you have to be a current member in your home district. If you live in Kern County you member in District 11 pay the district 11 awards fee of $65 and then you can member (for district year end awards only) in District 15 by paying there buy in fee of $50 and attending there required number of races to qualify. If a district 15 member wants to run for district year end awards in district 11 they can, only after they have membered with there home district pay the buy in fee $65 and attend the 8 requried races to qualify for district awards. This is only on a district level. So, no money will go to state or nationals for this. The buy in money will go directly to awards for each district.

**TRAVELING PARTNERS** DOGS!

When you come to our races if you bring a dog. Please KEEP HIM ON A LEASH! If the dog cannot be at YOUR trailer when your on your horse have someone watching it OR LEAVE IT HOME!! I dont want to have issues with people's dogs in the arena this year it is very frusturating and you would not want someone's dog messing up your run! I dont mind you bringing them, I haul mine. Just PLEASE be responsible for your animal. Keep it with you, on a leash, and or tied at your trailer when you are on your horse!!!! THANKS

I am asking/requiring that you bring CASH to the races to pay entries this year. It is easier for doing the payout!
