Hello and Welcome to District 11
Congrats to Courtney Kline for her 1-D win with a 16.2 at the Bo-V arena on 8~21~10
IF WE HAVE OVER 55 ENTRIES AT THE REST OF OUR DISTRICT RACES WE WILL ADD ANOTHER $100 TO THE OPEN JACKPOT FOR A TOTAL ADDED MONEY OF $200
Our next race will be Saturday Sept. 11th at Lawson's Arena (see schedul page for more info.)
Congrats to Michelle Wiley for winning the ton of hay that was donated by Robinsons Farm and Hay sales! (See the Sponsors page for all there information.)
THANKS ALSO TO TRACY BELL she has volunteered to do a newsletter every month with upcoming information and things each of us may need to be reminded of each month! If you are not yet recieving the newletter and would like to make sure and get me your email address so we can add you to that list!
RACE & CLASS INFORMATION:
The Novice class is a hit so far so, it will be offered at all of our races. Again this is NOT NBHA sanctioned so this will be at the directors discretion. I am making it a class for horses or riders that have not won $300 in Lifetime earnings. This how ever does not mean bring that smokin futurity horse that is running like the rodeo horses but has not made any money yet! That is not what this class is for! It will be for new~bie horses or riders only! So bring out any friends or family that may want to run barrels. If there are any awards given this year to the novice division it will be off the monies generated by this division alone. We will have a pee~wee class this year, and the youth division is being split into 2 age brackets. Those will be YOUTH 12 and under and the TEENS 13 to 18. At the races they will run as one class and it will still pay out as one class but for points at the State and National level they will be split in two.
Each member will be required to run at 6 races to qualify for year end district awards and pay a $50 awards fee. We will have a couple of fundraisers and you have to participate in at least one of those as well. Check the fundraiser info page for details! *** If you do not participate in a fundraiser but want to qualify for year end awards then you may do so by finding a $150 sponsor or paying the $150 yourself all awards fee monies are do in by the JULY 17th 2010 race!
We have 13 scheduled pointed races (sanctioned & co~sanctioned) this year and plan to give away 4 saddles to the Open division! I am getting excited about the saddles especially after the fundraisers we have had so far!
I am asking/requiring that you bring CASH to the races to pay entries this year. It is easier for doing the payout!
If you know of anyone that needs a tax write off for this year and would like to be a sponsor give them my information or, get there's and I will contact them. Every little bit helps! For a $100 sponsor we will add there companies web site link to our page for the year.
By majority vote: We will run the year end results off your six fastest runs. It will be an average. You have to have 6 runs to qualify for year end awards and go to state. So we will use your six fastest times. BUT this will be a horse and rider combination! We will keep points as well for state and Nationals. If you have any questions or comments please let me know.
The link provided below will tell you what you need to do to qualify for the 2010 State show, which will be in Tulare again this year. http://www.nbhaca.com/_events/state_championships/qualifiers.pdf
Please be prepared to pay in CASH this year! It helps with the payout!
SEND ME AN EMAIL AND LET ME KNOW HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT THESE QUESTIONS!
Would you rather pay a one time awards fee or participate in a fundraiser to raise money for the year end awards?
